Locked in, logged on.

I have built over a decade of expertise in brand messaging, tone and voice, content management, social media copy, creative strategy and production, social-first activations, experiential ideation, and conceptual campaigns.

I’ve managed to pull millions of views on TikTok videos, boost engagement on Instagram by 20%, increase YouTube video views by up to 35%, and develop the tone and voice for over 100+ feature film and television campaigns.

The bulk of my experience has been in entertainment, but I’ve also worked in health care, finance, retail, CPG, beauty, fashion, travel, home goods, nonprofits, education, and much more. From comics to Cats, narrative design to meme accounts — and somewhere in there producing a video book featuring Jamie Lee Curtis — I’ve done it all!

This includes doing things like:

  • Crafting brand messaging and tone/voice for social copy + art direction

  • Developing creative strategy from pitch through execution

  • Daily concepting around major brands

  • Writing organic and paid copy across social channels as well as email marketing campaigns, newsletters, blogging, and more

  • Managing teams of copywriters

  • Creative producing scripts, audio, and video assets

  • Measuring audience insights, sentiment, fanbase reactions, and community engagement

  • Collaborating with clients to ensure deliverables, contribute to ongoing campaigns, and handle crisis moments

IT’S WHAT’S ON THE INSIDE THAT COUNTS: INTERNAL COMMS

I’ve had the chance to work on internal communications, DEI, corporate posts, and more for a number of companies — most notably Universal and SAP ( a multinational software company based in Germany that serves as the world's largest vendor of enterprise resource planning software). All these examples are a small sampling of what I’ve done and were developed with these companies team for employees, internal comms, newsletter, Slack, and more. (In Universal’s case, there is a public arm that celebrates ongoing efforts within the company, their upcoming projects, and their talent inside and out of the movies.)

going the distance: long-form copy

  • At BendHealth, care programs were created by psychiatrists, therapists, and coaches. The job was to translate complex mental health topics such as neurodiversity, ADHD, trauma, substance abuse, tech addiction, and more into language that anyone — whether ages 6-12, teens, or parents — could understand, resulting in happier patients and an increase of clients using BendHealth services.

Advekit is a concierge service that bridges the gap between therapists, patients, and insurance providers. Blogs were written with SEO in mind to increase Advekit’s reach and provide clinicians and patients alike with valuable info.

  • Break the Cycle is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and advocating for anyone ages 12-24 who has endured domestic violence and/or sexual assault. As content manager, I streamlined the work process, updated all website copy, created content calendars for social media, and worked directly as a community manager for victims needing assistance. The work was, and remains, extremely meaningful to me.

As part of the communications team at Art Center College of Design, I wrote blogs, managed content, edited and improved existing content, and drew attention to the news and accomplishments of students and faculty by driving traffic via social.

  • In my work at Artisan Creative, I oversaw the content and social media management for the staffing agency, addressing consumers as well as HR reps, recruiters, and other folks within the hiring industry. This included blogs and newsletters as well as creating social media posts for all platforms, utilizing Canva, HootSuite, and Sprout Social.

  • As a copywriter for Forever21, I wrote hundreds, if not thousands, of product descriptions for everything in their fashion and beauty inventory. Since then, I’ve written countless other product descriptions for smaller sites, most notably in a long-term contract with K.Bell Socks.

  • Working as a content manager at Oversee.net meant I was responsible for copy editing travel blogs and guides from a team of freelance travel creators, ensuring they were SEO ready. It also meant crafting my own SEO-focused travel guides - this one is for San Juan.

Moreover, I’ve written freelance travel blogs and articles for a number of other freelance clients. You can find a few samples here, here, and here.

  • I’ve been able to work with HouseHunt.com and American Creative, among other freelance clients, in the real estate and housing space on SEO-driven blogs and website copy intended to drive site traffic.
